Terms of sale

1. Purpose

These terms govern the sale, on librolingua.com, of artificial-intelligence text translation services and book formatting services (hereinafter “the services”) by Gaspard Meissonnier, sole proprietor (business name Librolingua), whose details appear in the legal notice.

2. Nature of the service

Translations are produced by artificial intelligence models, reviewed by other models and checked automatically. They are not reviewed by a human translator, unless a quote states otherwise. The customer acknowledges that a machine translation, however carefully produced, may contain imperfections, and that it is the customer's responsibility to review it before publication.

3. Order and price

The price is calculated before payment from the manuscript's word count, the languages, the level and the options chosen, and the estimated page count for formatting. Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. The order is binding upon receipt of payment.

4. Payment

Payment is made online through Stripe. Librolingua stores no bank card data.

5. Performance and deadlines

Work starts upon receipt of payment. The stated deadlines (generally 24 to 72 hours) are indicative. Files are made available on a personal tracking page and remain downloadable for 90 days.

6. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 1° of the French Consumer Code, a consumer who expressly asks for the service to be performed as soon as payment is made acknowledges that they lose their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. As long as the work has not started, they may cancel their order and be fully refunded.

7. Corrections

Any obvious defect (missing paragraph, untranslated passage, mistranslation, glossary name or term badly rendered) reported within 14 days of delivery is corrected free of charge. Style preferences expressed after delivery are not a defect.

8. Rights in the texts

The customer warrants that they hold the necessary rights in the manuscript, in particular the translation rights. They remain the holder of their rights; Librolingua assigns to them all economic rights in the delivered files, upon payment. Librolingua does not use manuscripts for any purpose other than performing the order.

9. Liability

Librolingua's liability is limited to the amount paid for the order concerned. Librolingua is not responsible for the use made of the delivered files or for the decisions of publishing platforms.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of difficulty, the customer is invited to write to [email protected] in order to find an amicable solution.
