False friends and the polite “you”
English and Italian share many Latin words that no longer mean the same thing: attualmente means “currently”, not “actually”, and a libreria is a bookshop, not a library. The cross-reviews track them down. Your characters' “you” also becomes tu or the polite Lei, and stays the same from one chapter to the next.
Which readers?
Italian is the mother tongue of around 65 million people, in Italy, Italian-speaking Switzerland and San Marino. Your translation can be published on Amazon.it and with Italian online booksellers.
